Dr. Neerja Charturvedi
joined the Faculty of St. Thomas Aquinas College in 1999 as Assistant
Professor of History. She holds a B.A. degree in English (with Honors)
from the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India. In addition, she holds
the M.A. degree in History from the University of Garwhal, India, a
M.Phil. degree in International Politics and Organization from Jawaharlal
Nehru University, India, and the Ph.D. in History from Michigan State
University. Prior to coming to the College, she was Assistant Professor
of History at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Dr. Chaturvedi is
interested in Non-Western History and British imperial history with
regard to India.
Dr. Chaturvedi is Faculty Advisor to Pi Gamma Mu, the National Honor
Society in the Social Sciences.
