Dr.
Sewell joined the Faculty of the College as Assistant Professor of History
in the Fall of 2000. Prior to joining the Faculty, she served as
a Fellow of the National Historical Publications and Records Commission
during which time she worked on the Margaret Sanger Papers Project at
New York University. In addition, she was a Fellow at the Institute
for the Editing of Historical Documents in Madison, Wisconsin, an Editorial
Assistant for The Selected Papers of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan
B. Anthony at Rutgers University, and a Archival Assistant at the Tamiment
Institute Library/Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives at New York University.
She also served on the Faculty at Rutgers University as Instructor of
History.
Dr. Sewell
holds the B.A. degree in History from the Eugene Lang College of the New
School for Social Research in New York and the Ph.D. degree is History
from Rutgers University, where she was a Teaching Assistant.
