The Post-Masters in Literacy is ideal for teachers who would like to develop expertise in the area of Literacy and/or earn additional graduate credits. The program is 18 credits and candidates may transfer in 3 credits. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be recommended for NYS teaching certification in Literacy at the appropriate grade level. Teachers who complete this program will be able to work as reading specialist or literacy coach. The program can be completed in one academic year but candidates may take longer if they wish. Candidates admitted into the program will be assigned an advisor who will ensure that they meet the requirements for the grade level they teach.

Candidates are required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
