CAREER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM (CAP)
Student Volunteer Program
WHO WE ARE:
- Undergraduate students from all majors
- Outgoing, friendly, with great interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic about helping other students achieve their career goals
WE ARE COMMITTED TO:
- Promoting the services and programs offered by Career Services
- Serving as career mentors to undergraduate students
- Disseminating information about career services, special events and career programs
- Identifying and attracting new reputable employers and performing internet research
- Writing career articles and blogs for the career ambassador newsletter
- Attending and volunteering at large scale events such as career and internship fairs and student/alumni networking dinners
- Interacting with recruiters and students during special programs, career fairs, mock interviews, etc.
- Serving as liaison between Career Services and respective student organizations publicizing career information that pertain to the job search, graduate school and interview preparation

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN AMBASSADOR:
- Full-time undergraduate status at St. Thomas Aquinas College
- Completion of at least one full semester
- Good standing with the Dean of Students Office
- Cumulative GPA of 2.50, which will be verified. If your cumulative GPA does not meet the minimum, please attach a statement explaining why
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, friendly, and a positive attitude
- Reliable and dependable
- Creativity (ability to generate new ideas)
- Expected to attend training sessions
