Master of Science in Education
St. Thomas Aquinas College offers certified teachers the opportunity to advance their careers in a number of areas. Late afternoon classes enable teachers to take advantage of our MSEd program. STAC offers the following options for existing teachers:
Educational Leadership
The College is committed to preparing teachers for leadership opportunities at the school building level as assistant principals, principals or curriculum specialists. Practicing teachers in New York and New Jersey qualify for a 20% tuition discount. This program leads to School Building Leader (SBL) certification. Curriculum Requirements
Special Education
The special education program is nationally recognized by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and prepares teachers to work effectively with students with disabilities at either the elementary or secondary level. This program leads to special education certification.

Literacy Education
The literacy program is national recognized by the International Reading Association (IRA) and prepares teachers to work as reading specialists at either the elementary or secondary level. This program leads to literacy certification.

The College offers post-master’s professional certificate program in the following three areas:
