Dr. Mary Ann Hatala
Class of ‘80
B.S., Natural Sciences
Dr. Hatala is the Senior Team Leader at Instrumental Laboratory in Orangeburg, NY. There she manages a product line of reagents used with diagnostic instruments. Her outstanding accomplishments in the Science of Pharmacology, and dedication to the community earned her induction into the College’s Alumni Hall of Fame.
Deborah O’ Connell-McManus, Ed.D.
Class of ’85
B.S., Natural Sciences
Dr. O’ Connell-McManus is an Assistant Superintendent of Clarkstown Central School District in Rockland County. A published writer, she has received several awards detailing her dedication to teaching and is a member of the College’s Alumni Hall of Fame.
Peter J. Unanue
Class of ’90
B.S., Mathematics/Engineering
Peter is the Executive Vice President of Distribution and Logistics at Goya Foods, Inc where he oversees operations for Goya’s distribution centers throughout the US. He joined Goya in 1997 as Director of Distribution. Under his leadership, Goya implemented an automated routing system for customer deliveries at all distribution centers. He is also a member of the Alumni Hall of Fame.
Edward Costa, D.P.M.

B.S., Biology
Edward is the Chief Resident of the Podiatric Surgical Residency at Montefiore North in the Bronx, NY. During his time at the College his professors guided him towards the dual degree program in Podiatric Medicine. This program combines three years at the undergraduate level and four years with The New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Krista L. Maselli, D.C.
Class of ’03
B.S., Biology
Dr. Maselli is a Chiropractor for Fisher Family Chiropractic in Nevada. While at STAC, she participated in the dual degree affiliation with New York Chiropractic College. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 2005.
Frank P. Pesale
Class of ’06
B.S., Therapeutic Recreation
Frank is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at Adelphi University. While at STAC, he was a member of the Men's NCAA Division II baseball team and an honors student, giving him the opportunity to study abroad at Oxford University. In his graduate studies, he is conducting research on psychotherapy process and treatment outcome. He has also worked as an Activities Therapist at South Oaks Hospital, an acute care psychiatric hospital, for the past 4 years.
