Natural Sciences & Mathematics
Dear Students:
What an exciting time to study in the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at St. Thomas Aquinas College! The best professors in the area teach our classes and they genuinely care about our students achieving academic success.
Students pursuing biology, chemistry, forensic science or physics degrees are able to study and participate in research in Costello Hall, a new arts, sciences and technology building. Computer Science majors are actively involved in classes in Spellman Hall’s Technology Corridor. Mathematics majors are engaged in classes and internships that prepare them to meet new challenges.
Biology students can earn an undergraduate degree from St. Thomas and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York Medical College — as part of an articulation agreement between the two institutions. Similar alliances are in place for a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine with New York Chiropractic College and a Doctor of Podiatry with New York College of Podiatric Medicine. An articulation agreement has recently been established with Polytechnic University which allows our students to puruse a M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering.
For students who might be interested in Engineering, articulation agreements are in place with Manhattan College and The George Washington University, allowing students to earn dual degrees in Mathematics from St. Thomas and Engineering from one of the two affiliated institutions.
We’re proud of our graduates who have gone on to earn graduate and post graduate degrees in medicine, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer information sciences and a host of other degree areas.
I would be glad to discuss your future academic career with you. You can reach me at (845) 398-4175 or via email at meferraro@stac.edu.
I wish you continued success with your academic studies and I am looking forward to seeing you as a student at St. Thomas Aquinas College.
