Our Mission
The Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics offers a curriculum which helps to prepare our students in the liberal arts and sciences tradition. A broad range of courses is offered in mathematics, sciences and computer sciences. These courses are designed to prepare our students for careers and future graduate study. Our curriculum is structured to encourage students to engage in critical thinking, to utilize technology skillfully and to realize that learning is a life-long endeavor.
Our Programs
The undergraduate degree programs offered by the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics aim to provide an education that prepares our students to pursue graduate work as well as to afford them the opportunity to be successful in the job market. The liberal arts component of these programs enables students to acquire a broad background in communication skills, humanities and social sciences. The disciplinary component of the program focuses on developing students’ knowledge, understanding and appreciation of their discipline, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and their ability to combine their knowledge of their discipline and problem-solving skills in productive ways.
