The
undergraduate degree programs offered by the Division
of Natural Sciences and Mathematics aim to provide
an education that prepares our students to pursue
graduate work as well as to afford them the opportunity
to be successful in the job market. Our Division
offers a variety of majors including Biology,
Computer
and Information Science, Natural
Sciences,
and Mathematics. The liberal arts component of these programs enables
students to acquire a broad background in communication
skills, humanities and social sciences. The disciplinary
component of the program focuses on developing
students knowledge, understanding and appreciation
of their discipline, problem-solving and critical
thinking skills, and their ability to combine
their knowledge of their discipline and problem-solving
skills in productive ways.
Our
Division has articulation agreements with several
other colleges and universities. For students
interested in Engineering,
we offer a five-year dual degree program with
Manhattan College or George Washington University. Students interested in studying Podiatric
Medicine will be interested
in our articulation agreement with the New York
College of Podiatric Medicine. For those interested
in a Chiropractic
program, St. Thomas Aquinas has an
articulation program with New York Chiropractic
College. Students interested in acquiring a D.P.T.
in Physical
Therapy, our articulation agreement
with New York Medical College will be of interest
to you. We also offer opportunities for students
who are interested in Medical
Technology, as well as Pharmacy. The
Division also offers Minors
in biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics
and physics.
