This is the 2006 report from INC magazine of 393 "population centers" in the U.S.that are ranked the economically healthiest areas for businesses to "flourish." There are separate lists for small, midsize and large cities, a map that shows job growth state by state and statistics of social characteristics.

This play on "Blue Ribbon" is a virtual library of over 2000 sites for teachers and librarians. Blue Ribbon is for quality. The sites are categorized by grade level, subject, lesson plans, projects, tutorials and activities. There are also a Content Areas and specific subcategories within Subject area. New sites are added on a monthly basis. This web site is part of AT&Ts Knowledge Network Explorer.

Among its links are monthly new releases of DVDs (spanning the early years of film-making to the present), film critics, film institutes, articles on international cinema, and links to over 100 directors and their biographies or sites. Three of the articles for September are a remembrance of Sven Nykvist, a Roberto Rossellini retrospective, and an overview of last month's Venice Film Festival.

The Center is a nonpartisan"fact tank" that conducts opinion polls on the public's attitudes towards the press, politics and public policy issues that shape our world. There are five subject areas that include Survey Reports (dating back to 1987), Commentary (dating back to 1995), Datasets (survey data back to 1997), In the News (current topics), and FYI Other Polls (dating to 2001) which are results of polls conducted by sources such as Gallop, CBS News, CNN, etc. This could be a very useful site for Commuications and contemporary U.S. and Global Politics courses
