Frequently Asked Questions About the MBA
Do I need to have an undergraduate degree in business to pursue my MBA at St. Thomas Aquinas College?
No. The STAC MBA program is designed to accommodate the academic needs of working professionals with undergraduate degrees in areas outside of business as well as graduates of business programs. STAC's MBA program includes a series of 11 core courses that provide graduates of all disciplines with the academic foundation in business that they will need to successfully complete their MBA. A maximum of 8 of these courses maybe waived based on a student's previous undergraduate work.
How long does it take to complete the program?
The MBA degree requires a total of 57 credits, but many students earn up to 24 course waiver credits based on previous undergraduate or graduate credits. Full time students may complete the program in one year. However, the majority of the students are working professionals who take two to three years to complete the program.
How do I obtain a waiver from a foundation course?
A request for course waiver must be submitted to the Admissions Office at the time of application to the MBA program and must be completed by the end of the first quarter of attendance. Additional details may be found in the St. Thomas Aquinas College Graduate Catalog.

A maximum of 9 graduate transfer credits may be accepted for courses comparable to a STAC course.
Do I have to start the program in September or can I start at the beginning of any session?
