St. Thomas Aquinas College’s School of Business Receives Reaffirmation of IACBE Accreditation

Board applauds commitment to student excellence and educational resources.

The Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) is pleased to announce that St. Thomas Aquinas College was granted reaffirmation of accreditation of the business and management programs offered through its School of Business.

The School of Business at St. Thomas Aquinas College has undertaken a rigorous self-evaluation; has undergone a comprehensive, independent peer review; and has demonstrated compliance with the following Accreditation Principles of the IACBE:

1. Outcomes Assessment
2. Strategic Planning
3. Curriculum
4. Faculty
5. Scholarly and Professional Activities
6. Resources
7. Internal and External Relationships
8. International Business Education
9. Educational Innovation

In addition, the School of Business has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality in its business programs and operations.

“Our program continuously strives to meet the demands of an ever-changing business world,” said Michael Murphy, dean of the College’s School of Business. “Acknowledgement by the IACBE further solidifies the commitment of our faculty and administrators to provide our students with the tools needed to succeed in their careers.”

In its review of the application, the Board of the IACBE noted excellent performance in the curriculum review and improvement process, educational facilities, and support programs like the Center for Academic Excellence, which provides certified tutors for at-risk students. The College received its initial accreditation in 2008.
