Dr. Collucci received her Ph.D. in Teacher Education and Development from Montclair State University in 2017.  Prior to that she was a primary grade teacher, Reading Specialist, and Literacy Coordinator in New Jersey for ten years. She also worked as a Literacy Consultant and taught literacy education courses at Rutgers Graduate School of Education, New Jersey City University, and Montclair State University. She now teaches literacy education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr. Collucci’s research focuses on early literacy and linguistically responsive teaching.  She has presented at the Rutgers Annual Reading and Writing Conference and has spent time in the field supporting teachers through various professional development work based on teacher interest that addressed the Implementation of Guided Reading, the Establishment of a Successful Writing Workshop, the Development of a Balanced Language Arts Block, the Creation of Literacy Centers that Support Authentic Learning, the Content Learning of English Language Learners, and the Inclusion of Successful Comprehension Strategies for Analyzing and Working with Text.
