Kevin Duignan, Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Appointed to the Board of Leadership Rockland
(SPARKILL, NY – August 4, 2010) -- Kevin P. Duignan, M.B.A., Vice President of Institutional Advancement at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Rockland County, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Leadership Rockland in New City, NY.
"The Leadership Rockland Program is an outstanding opportunity for members of the Rockland County business community to acquire an in-depth understanding and a multi-faceted grasp of the "big-picture" of the tremendous impact that businesses, non-profits, government and civic organizations make on this wonderful county in which we work and live,” commented Duignan. “I am honored to be asked to help direct this wonderful organization."
Kevin earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and master of business administration degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College where he was voted “The Most Likely to Succeed”. He is a member of Delta Mu Delta, the national honor society for business administration.
Upon graduation in 1975, Kevin taught American history and political science at St. Joseph’s Annex of Cathedral High School in Greenwich Village, that same year he was recruited by the Data Processing Office of the Archdiocese of New York in Yonkers, NY. In 1981 he joined the General Foods Corporation in White Plains, NY. He remained with General Foods for the next ten years finishing his tenure as Manager for Employee Information and Human Resource Systems in their Corporate Employee Information Center. In 1991, he joined the senior management staff of the Catholic Near East Welfare Association. Kevin returned to St. Thomas in 1997 where he is now the College’s Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
He is a 2001 graduate of the Leadership Rockland Program and in 2008 he was inducted into St. Thomas Aquinas College’s Alumni Hall of Fame. In addition to his recent appointment, Kevin serves on the board of directors for All Hallows High School in Bronx, NY and Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, NY.
Leadership Rockland’s mission is to Identify, Inform and Inspire leaders to better serve our community by increasing their awareness of the many facets of Rockland County. The program provides excellent educational experience in the fundamental aspects of the County through the direction of an outstanding volunteer Board of Directors, most of whom are Leadership Rockland Alumni, and the services of the program leaders who inform and inspire.
