St. Thomas Aquinas College Slates 54th Commencement For Friday, May 13th
William H. Roedy, former Chairman and Chief Executive, MTV Networks International to address graduates.
(SPARKILL, NY – May 9, 2011) -- St. Thomas Aquinas College’s 54th Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 13th at 2 p.m. 400 students will graduate with associate, bachelors, masters’ degrees or post graduate certificates. The graduates will receive their diplomas on the College’s sprawling front lawn.
Willam H. Roedy, former chairman and chief executive of MTV Networks International will give the commencement address and receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree at the ceremony. Frank J. Borelli, Sr., former chief financial officer for Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., will receive an Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree.
Over 2,500 family and friends typically attend this annual event. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in Aquinas Hall, and prospective graduates have been provided indoor guest passes since Aquinas Hall’s capacity is just under 1,100.

Frank J. Borelli, Sr. is the retired chief financial officer of March & McLennan Companies, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bernard M. Baurch College and is a certified public accountant. A member of the College’s board of trustees, Mr. Borelli has held leadership positions for several local organizations including Nyack Hospital and the Rockland Business Association.
