Mathematics (Grades 7-12 Certification)
Mathematics is so much more than just numbers! The various skills that you perfect in a math class helps you to be prepared to transform those skills into analytical skills you will be able to incorporate into your daily life. If you have a desire to share your love for mathematics with young people, a career in math education is what you want to pursue.
Mathematics with Adolescent Certification at STAC
Our students take a variety of courses in mathematics such as Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Geometry, and Probability and Statistics. Students learn how to take the abstract concepts learned in math classes and use them to analyze various problems from actual real-life occurrences. Working in conjunction with the Teacher Education Division, our students’ take courses in education that prepares them to student teach during their last semester on campus. Our program is nationally accredited by NCATE. Students learn to how to use their mathematical expertise to make informed and efficient decisions, as well as being prepared to teach students at the middle or high school level.
