The
following guidelines are applicable to applicants
from participating TE institutions (imports)
applying for a TE scholarship at St. Thomas Aquinas
College:
Eligible
Applicant:
An
individual who is certified as a TE candidate by
his/her sending institution.
Application
Process:
An
initial application form must be remitted by December
15 of the year prior to the students first
fall semester of enrollment. Annual renewal applications
must be submitted by March 15 prior to the students
next fall semester of enrollment.
Maximum
Scholarship:
Four years (eight semesters), excluding
special/summer sessions, or until completion of a
baccalaureate degree, whichever occurs first.
Amount
of Award:
Full tuition, excluding room
and board, fees. TE candidates will be required
to file the FAFSA on a yearly basis in order to
receive the scholarship. The scholarship will
be reduced by the students TAP and Pell
Grant.
Selection
Criteria:
- Candidate
must meet the colleges admissions requirements
- Candidate
must be a full time undergraduate student
Selection
Process:
- Applicants
will be ranked by a combination of academic
criteria and financial need
- Accepted
applicants will be notified no later than May
15 prior to the students next fall semester
of enrollment
- If
the number of applicants from TE institutions
exceeds the number of available import slots,
applicants will be selected based on their ranking.
If two or more applicants are ranked equally,
a lottery will take place.
Re-Certification
Process

Each year accepted students would be required to
submit
a renewal
application by March 15 prior to the student's next fall
semester of enrollment.
- Continued
acceptance is contingent upon the student maintaining
the standards required of all students at St.
Thomas Aquinas College, and other standards
set forth on the original forms and correspondence
by both St. Thomas Aquinas College and the sending
institution.
