TRANSFER WITH EASE AT ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE

Transfer Admissions:
Transferring into St. Thomas Aquinas College is a simple process that we will help you with as you make an important decision about where to complete your education -- whether it is from a community college or another college or university.

We will set an appointment for you with a transfer counselor who will evaluate your credentials, discuss your plans, provide you with a tour, and a visit with a faculty member.

We'll also provide you with a financial aid assessment, so plan to bring your prior aid packages as well as your transcripts.

You should contact our Admissions Office and ask for the transfer coordinator, Nina Capitelli at 845-398-4101 or e-mail ncapitel@stac.edu for a transfer appointment.

Transfer students are admitted to the College in both September and January, and while there is no deadline, applications should be submitted as early as possible. There is a $35 print application fee. Apply online and the fee is only $20.

Transfer Application Requirements:

  • Your completed application
  • Official Transcripts from all colleges or universities you are (or have) attended. Please have them sent by the issuing institution directly to the Admissions office (unofficial transcripts are great for initial review). We want to know about your courses in progress as well.
  • If you have completed less than 30 college credits, we'll need an official high school transcript or a copy of GED report.
  • SAT 1 or ACT scores if high school graduation was less than one year ago.

Once we have all your application information, we'll review your transcripts and we'll show you a preliminary list of all remaining course requirements for the degree.

Students who have attended a two-year college may transfer up to 70 credits and must complete at least 50 credits at St. Thomas.  Credits in appropriate courses are transferable if a grade of C- or better was earned. Some D grades may be transferable. Acceptable courses from four year colleges may be transferred when at least a C- grade is earned. Up to 90 credits may be transferred from four year institutions and then at least 30 credits must be taken at St. Thomas Aquinas College.
