Garvenchy Nicolas, a member of the Class of 2014, is a Project Manager in the Financial District area of New York City. After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas College as a student-athlete, he worked for leading financial institutions like JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America.
Garvenchy is a Haitian native who moved to Brooklyn, NY in his teenage years. He is the founder and C.E.O. of the Synergy Today Foundation, which focuses on education development for kids in Brooklyn, Haiti, and Gambia. Garvenchy is also an up-and-coming Haitian entrepreneur with aspiring businesses in Haitian cities like Port-Au-Prince, and Cap-Haitien, Haiti. He focuses on speaking on behalf of marginalized voices like immigrants, Haitian-born natives, and African Americans.
Garvenchy is also the author of the memoir, Immigrants: America’s Ghostwriters which is to be released in the fall of 2019. He also serves on the Alumni Board of St. Thomas Aquinas College. His parents are Garry and Judith Nicolas.
