2020 Hall of Fame Honoree: Ino Gomez '79

Ino Gomez head shotIno Gomez is a member of the Class of 1979. He is married to Leslie, and is the father to Daniel Michael Gomez. Ino left his native country of Cuba and travelled to the United States in January of 1970, at the age of thirteen. He settled in West New York, New Jersey, and now lives in North Bergen, New Jersey. Ino attended Memorial High School, where he played four years of basketball. While at Memorial, he was a member of many different social clubs.

Ino was recruited by Gordon Chiesa, legendary head basketball coach at St. Thomas Aquinas College at the time. Ino played all four years at the College. While at STAC, he was elected Dormitory President, Resident Assistant, and co-captain of the basketball team. After graduation, Ino embarked on a career in advertising for the Hispanic divisions of Saatchi & Saatchi, and Foote, Cone, & Belding, acting as Director of Event Marketing and Promotions at both firms. He broke into radio in the mid 90's, and in 2011, became the Host and Producer of Univision's top-rated morning show, "Buen Dia New York." Ino is currently the host of Univision Radio's National morning show "Buenos Dias America", which airs on stations from Los Angeles to Miami, every day from 6am to 10am. He also appears daily on "Al Despertar" a Univision Television local morning show.
