The advantages of joining the Art Therapy club include a way to connect with other art therapy majors and other students in the STAC community. It also offers a creative, safe space where students can create art in an open and unbiased setting.
Students who join can also help create and participate in events that help spread awareness of the benefits of art therapy. Students can come together and collaborate with artwork and help each other when the time comes to apply for graduate school and portfolio work.
The Art Therapy Club is open to all STAC students. The way to join—for new members; contact Anastasia at [email protected] or Stephanie at [email protected] or if you know someone in the club, you can come to any meeting typically held on Tuesdays at 2:30 pm in the Maguire art room, unless notified otherwise through email.
Our upcoming event Winter Festival is on December 4th, 2019. The Art Therapy Club will have a table at the event featuring a “Create your own Ornament.”
