Biology is the study of life at every level. It helps us cure disease, understand and conserve our environment, and even solve crimes.
As a biology student at STAC, you’ll learn to apply anatomy and physiology, genetics, microbiology, and ecology to understand the world and make it a better place. You’ll also get plenty of practice in our state-of-the-art laboratories and opportunities to conduct research with our world-class biology professors. Our program provides a comprehensive curriculum, preparing students for a wide variety of opportunities in their professional careers.
Biology students can specialize in pre-medicine, pre-physical therapy, or environmental studies, obtain New York State Teacher Certification for grades 9-12, or continue on to graduate school for further professional experience. Students are strongly encouraged to conduct research with faculty or participate in an off-campus internship. We also offer a variety of study abroad opportunities to help enhance the global awareness of our students.
- Opportunities to conduct research in our state-of-the-art laboratories.
- Small class sizes permit our talented faculty to work closely with each student.
