Sociology Minor

The Social Sciences Department of the School of Arts & Sciences offers a minor in Sociology. To earn this minor, students need to complete a total of 18 credits, broken down into the three groups listed below. This minor may be combined with any major offered at the College.

A minor in Sociology is suggested for students who want to study human society. Sociology will give you tools to develop solutions for many of society's challenges, and help you develop a critical understanding of how social forces shape your own life and your community. Sociology students often go on to careers in public relations, public and private research, social work, law enforcement, education, and many more.
