Today’s graphic designers are more in demand than ever as they move beyond design studios into an array of companies and organizations seeking web design, video production, animation and more.
Skills in graphic design
STAC’s graphic design program offers a studio-based curriculum that integrates solid design skills with current computer software and proficiency. Our capstone class in portfolio development ensures you’ll graduate with visual evidence of your design abilities. You’ll also be encouraged to take advantage of our many visual communication and graphic design internships to gain real work experience. Past students have interned at Rockland Boulders, Gravity DesignWorks, GlobalSoft Digital Solutions and Paul Kiesche design.
Wake Up and Smell the Plastic:
Our program is recognized by the professional organization for graphic designers, American Institute of Graphic Arts. You’ll be able to become an AIGA member and gain access to the AIGA job and internship databases. You can also show your portfolio on the AIGA website, attend lectures and studio visits, attend networking events, and participate in AIGA’s annual portfolio review. AIGA membership is an important step toward success in the visual communications field.
