Founded as a teacher’s college, STAC has achieved national recognition by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), now known as the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and is listed as a Top Tier Regional University (North) by U.S. News and World Report.

An education degree from STAC makes you eligible to teach in any New York State school. Because we are NCATE accredited, you’ll also be qualified to obtain teaching credentials in any other state.
