Title
Campus Health & Safety

As we work to provide a safe and secure learning, working and living environment for our students, employees and visitors, it is important to remember that our knowledge and understanding of the COVID-19 public health emergency continues to evolve. As a result our policies and plans will be updated as appropriate as more information becomes available.

STAC will continue to maintain our current security plan. For more information about Emergency Communications and other Safety information, please visit the St. Thomas Aquinas College Annual Security and Fire Report. Any specific COVID-19 related information can be found on our Coronavirus Update page.

All members of the St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) Community are expected to fully comply with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), New York State (NYS), local health department and STAC policies, protocols, procedures, and guidelines which have been outlined here. Failure to comply with all required policies, protocols, procedures and guidelines may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination, dismissal and/or loss of privileges including access to campus buildings and resources. Every member of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Community is expected to share the responsibilities of halting the spread of COVID-19. If you observe non-compliance with any of COVID-19 related policy, protocol, procedure, or guidelines, please notify your supervisor or contact Campus Safety at 845-398-4080.

HELP STOP THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 AND KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE!

If you see something, say something! The College has instituted many COVID-19 health & safety policies and protocols to keep everyone in our STAC community safe. If you see someone on campus who is not following the health and safety guidelines we have put in place, please complete this form to let us know.

In the event of an increased transmission rate in our region, St. Thomas Aquinas College will initiate a planned reduction of operational activity on campus to include a complete shutdown if required. Academics will continue as described in STAC’s Academic Plan for instruction. Residence Life will coordinate the orderly shutdown of residence operations for a safe departure from campus. The College will make appropriate arrangements for housing and food for those students who can not immediately leave campus. The College has identified and planned which personnel are essential on-campus and which can proceed with remote work if the situation arises. The College’s Communications team will proceed with notifying all students, faculty, and staff through e-mail, social media, and text message should there be any change in the campus’ operational and academic modality. Emergency notifications will use STAC’s Emergency Notification System that is currently in place.
