STAC’s number one priority is the safety of all members of our community. The College will continue to provide a safe and secure learning, working, and living environment for our students, employees, and visitors.
Please note that the following policies are subject to change based on COVID-19 conditions at the College and in the surrounding community.
STAC's COVID-19 Current Policies
Please see the following updates regarding COVID protocols on campus for the Fall 2022 semester. As always, the COVID-19 Task Force will be constantly monitoring the conditions on campus and in the surrounding area and may adjust the below policies and procedures as appropriate.
Mask Wearing
Mask-wearing is optional on STAC’s campus, except for in the STAC Health and Wellness Center, where masks must be worn, or if you are directed to wear a mask according to our isolation/quarantine policy (see below). This policy is aligned with current CDC Mask Guidance. Please visit the CDC Site: Use and Care of Masks, for additional information and advice. In the event of a COVID-19 outbreak on campus, this policy is flexible as masks act as our first line of defense against the virus.
A professor may choose to encourage mask wearing in their individual classroom, but they cannot require mask wearing. St. Thomas Aquinas College supports those who choose to wear a protective face mask at any time. Everyone in our community is encouraged to respect others’ decisions regarding mask-wearing.
Please note that the College will not supply face masks. Individuals will need to supply their own face masks for personal use.
Quarantine and Isolation
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or come into close contact with someone who is positive for COVID-19, or if you are experiencing ANY of the below symptoms of COVID-19, please contact STAC Health Services at [email protected] or 845-398-4242 as soon as possible so you can speak to a medical professional and receive further instructions. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions and keep our community safe and healthy. If you are not fully up-to-date on your COVID-19 vaccinations (including the recommended booster), you may have to quarantine. Do not come to campus unless you have been cleared to do so by STAC Health Services.
