Frances A. (DeMoranville) Huling, who was affectionately known as “Mom & Baby Frances” by her children and relatives, departed her loving family on June 13, 2022. She was the wife of the late Norman J. Huling Sr.
Frances was born in Providence, RI in August of 1939 to the late Gilbert Luther and Francesca Judith (Barbieri) DeMoranville.
Frances is survived by her son, Norman J. Huling, Jr. and his wife Susann, her daughter, Denise M. Horton and her husband James, her grandchildren, Christopher J. Huling and his wife Karen, Katie M. Huling, James K. Horton, Jr., Jamie J. Horton and her great granddaughter, Hannah M. Huling. Frances was predeceased by her daughter, Frances A. Stygles, and her brother, Robert G. DeMoranville.
Even in her early years with all of her health challenges, Frances dedicated her life to raising her three children at home during the most important times of their lives. After her children were raised, Frances worked for St. Margaret’s Home in Providence.
Frances loved a “Beach Day” the most. She enjoyed her toes in the water, sitting with a book and drink in her hand. Frances also loved playing cards, especially “Gin Rummy” with her friends, watching Hallmark movies, and eating little neck clams and stuffed quahogs.
Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye as she loved being with and hearing from them. One of her special moments included attending the wedding of her grandson, Christopher and his wife, Karen last year. Two months ago, she was blessed with the title of great grandmother as Hannah Marie was born.
Frances was a devoted Roman Catholic and even in the last stages of her life she listened to mass on TV every day. Now she is able to rest in peace and be reunited with all of her loved ones that have passed before her.
