STAC CA Students Plan Next Level Networking Event

Professor Elaine Winship addressing the audience at a Communication Arts event.
Communication Arts students in Professor Elaine Winship’s CA 322 Public Relations Event Planning and Crisis Communication class have been working all semester to learn the basics of public relations events while planning the annual Communication Arts speaker event.
This year’s event — Next Level Networking—will feature four Communication Arts alumni speaking about their current work and networking strategies at CNBC, Contently, HBO and New York 1. The event is on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Romano Student Alumni Center.
This event is entirely organized and run by the students: they decided its purpose, selected the topic, create the theme, recruited the speakers, identified target markets, and created the event program and related promotions. This immersive experiential learning opportunity will become a robust entry on resumes, making these students more marketable within PR and Communications.
All students, faculty, staff, and alumni are welcome. Please RSVP by February 28th Professor Winship at [email protected] or 845-398-4329 and contact her with any questions.
