STAC Students Learn Hospitality Skills & Give Back

Students at St. Thomas Aquinas College in the Hospitality Management Program learned new skills and the value of giving back this past semester. As part of a school project, they organized and hosted a culinary experience event with the proceeds benefitting Meals on Wheels of Rockland. Through their dedicated efforts, they raised $5,875.69 that will go to helping senior citizens throughout Rockland County.

The Hospitality Management Program that these students are in is a relatively new field of study available through STAC. The goal of the program is to build the students’ skills to become the next generation of employees at world-class hotels, conference centers, travel bureaus, restaurants, and corporations while learning from professors who have relevant, real-world experience in hospitality management.

A special shout-out goes to all the sponsors and contributors that helped to make this event such an amazing success - Aramark, D'Vine Wines & Spirits, Enterprise Car Rentals of West Nyack, Gentle Giant Brewing Company, Hospitality Community of Practice (HCOP), Meals on Wheels, and RCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center.
