STAC Welcomes Jacques Tortoroli, Executive in Residence for Institutional Advancement

St. Thomas Aquinas College is pleased to welcome Dr. Jacques Tortoroli, Executive in Residence for the Office of Institutional Advancement. Tortoroli’s collaboration with St. Thomas Aquinas College began in 2001 when he became a Member of the Board of Trustees, serving on the Audit Committee and Investment & Finance Committees. “I am enthusiastic about the leadership of Jacques Tortoroli. He brings experience, wisdom, energy, and a drive to shape St. Thomas Aquinas College as it moves dynamically into the future” enthused Dr. Margaret Fitzpatrick, S.C., Ed.D., president of the College.

Tortoroli will oversee the Office of Institutional Advancement stating, “After 40 years in various finance and management roles with several multinational companies across industries, I couldn't be happier taking on this new role with STAC.” He added further, “I have been a STAC Trustee and have seen the great students, faculty, and staff first hand. I am looking forward to taking the hard work already done by the Institutional Advancement Team to even more success as we build strategic relationships with new organizations while further engaging our communities of Alumni, Donors, and friends of St. Thomas Aquinas College—all to the benefit of our students."

Tortoroli has lead a very interesting and successful career holding prestigious positions in the New York region and abroad, in locations such as Brussels, Italy, the U.K., and Bermuda. Prior to taking on his current position at STAC, Tortoroli was the Chief Operating Officer and member of the Global Leadership Team with Bacardi International Ltd., where he oversaw Global Brand marketing activities, annual budgets and annual reports, he also led Finance, Investor Relations, Revenue Growth Management, Technology, Real Estate, Global Operations, and much more. In addition, he served as Viacom Inc.’s Executive Vice President of Finance in New York.

Most recently, Tortoroli took part in the College’s 23rd Annual Hall of Fame Reunion and Celebration, where alumni and friends came together to honor inductees who have made exceptional contributions to STAC and the community. “I was truly delighted to take part in this year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony,” said Tortoroli. He added, “Each year since 1998, we celebrate exceptional contributions to STAC and our community and this year was no exception.”

Tortoroli has a BA in Accounting from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. He received an Honorary Doctorate degree in Commercial Science from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2013 and is at present working on an MA in Business Education from New York University’s School of Education.
