Gina spent two years as an RA at STAC. Now, as a graduate student here, she heads a team of resident assistants in her role as a residence life professional. She says she loves STAC’s community feel and being able to know everyone on campus – from students to professors to staff. When she’s not in class or handling responsibilities in Aquinas Village, you’ll find Gina working out at the gym or surfing Pinterest.

Kevin is a lacrosse player with a penchant for boating, Family Guy and spaghetti and meatballs. He says he likes being an RA because he gets to meet and become friends with students he might not have crossed paths with otherwise. If he’s not in class or at practice, you might find Kevin watching Family Guy or rooting on his favorite football team, the Tennessee Titans.
Who once won the YMCA’s coveted “Super Super Counselor Award”? If you guessed Christian Cotumaccio, you’re correct. When he’s not being super super, he’s a typical college kid with a talent for art, a penchant for the New York Mets and a love for “Game of Thrones.” He also enjoys hiking, being with his friends and watching YouTube.
Oksana hates her sister’s pet rabbit. We don’t know why, but she seems pretty sure of it. But there are also plenty of things she loves: reading, sleeping, ice-skating and the New York Jets. She’s also a big fan of RuPaul DragRace, Bruno Mars and cake. She says if she could have any superpower, it’d be mind reading, so residents beware.
If Alyssa could choose a superpower, she’d choose invisibility, which would come in really handy as an RA (and not so handy if you’re one of her residents). She says she loves STAC’s small, friendly environment and enjoys meeting and helping people every single day. Alyssa enjoys napping, playing lacrosse and catching up on episodes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Want to join her? Bring ice cream to share, and settle in.
As an RA, Kaitlyn looks forward to making connections with her residents and getting students involved in campus activities – two things she says STAC makes easy. An avid field hockey player, Kaitlyn also enjoys reading, going on adventures with her friends and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Gossip Girl.
Ask Ashlee to show you how she can move her ears without touching them. It’s a great icebreaker and quite a talent. She’s also a really cool person to hang out with. Ashlee enjoys watching Netflix and Empire, meeting new people on campus and going out for wings.
If someone were to make a movie about Ed’s life, he says Jonah Hill would play the starring role. Sounds like he’s a pretty fun guy to hang out with. When he’s not studying, you’ll find Ed surrounded by friends and rooting for his beloved New York Giants, playing lacrosse, listening to music or catching the latest “Game of Thrones” episode.

Amanda is a softball aficionado. In high school, her team went all the way to the Junior League World Series in Washington State. To this day, she grabs her glove and heads to the softball field as often as she can. She also spends a lot of time making sure her residents adjust to life at STAC. On weekends, you’ll find her catching up on Grey’s Anatomy or teeing off at the driving range.
Let’s get this out of the way: Ryan went to a Nickelback concert…and liked it. Don’t judge him too harshly: he’s a good guy. Ryan enjoys playing hockey, rooting for New York sports teams, hiking and eating his mom’s homemade pizza. He says if he had one, his superpower would be the ability to teleport…to another Nickelback concert?

Katherine is one of STAC’s track and field stars, throwing shot put and discus for the Lady Spartans. She’s also quite an artist, and in her spare time, she enjoys painting and other creative endeavors. She says being an RA is important to her because she likes helping others grow and succeed. Katherine enjoys kayaking, cheering on the Mets and surfing Buzzfeed.
Doris (friends call her Dee) is a fascinating person. She’s a business owner, speaks fluent Twi (a dialect of the Akan language spoken in Ghana) and enjoys scavenger hunts. Her favorite food is jollof, a rice dish popular in many West African countries, and her favorite vacation spot is Ghana. You’ll find her on campus singing, sewing or reading her Bible.
Valerie is a sports fan who loves to play softball, attend sporting events at STAC and root for her beloved Boston Red Sox. On weekends, she likes to take the opportunity to relax with some episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, some tunes by Florida Georgia Line and gathering with her friends.
